At Saint Paul RiverCentre, there’s a mantra we all live by: In all moments, we are empowered to create great memories.

For many of our guests, that memory making starts with a simple smile or helpful hello courtesy of our incredible Guest Experience team.

First Impressions Matter

Whether guests are here for a glamorous gala, a high-energy consumer show, or an inspiring conference, the first faces they often see are our frontline crew, which includes everyone from skyway greeters to elevator operators to ticket scanners.

These first moments set the tone for the entire event, and our team knows how important that is.

“Our staff takes real pride in working the events,” says Guest Experience Manager Tali Ziegler.

Enthusiasm That’s Contagious

Guest Experience Manager Jen Hazzard handles scheduling for our part-time team, and when it comes to our signature events, she often finds herself in a great position with team members eager to jump in.

“Some of our part-timers even reach out to request shifts for their favorite events,” she says. "That kind of energy is contagious, and it’s exactly what helps create unforgettable experiences for guests."

Going the Extra Mile

It’s not just about showing up — it’s about showing up with heart. Our team consistently goes the extra mile to make sure every guest feels welcome and cared for. One standout example? Complimentary wheelchair escorts.

“Having a good experience, like getting a wheelchair escort, makes a huge difference for a lot of people,” Tali explains.

These small touches leave a lasting impact.

Recognizing Above-and-Beyond Service

To celebrate the people who go above and beyond, we created our Stick Tap Employee Recognition program. It shines a spotlight on part-time staff who exceed expectations and help deliver those “wow” moments that guests remember.

It’s all part of our service-first culture — one that’s deeply woven into everything we do, from that first warm welcome to the final friendly farewell.

A True Team Effort

While our Guest Experience team is front and center with guests, they don’t do it alone. Collaboration is at the heart of every successful event from operations and security to event managers and beyond.

“It’s such a great collaboration across all departments,” Jen says.
