Saint Paul RiverCentre is honored to serve as a gathering place for several Hmong community celebrations, and this year was especially meaningful as the Hmong community marked 50 years in Minnesota. This milestone represents a powerful legacy of resilience, cultural preservation and contribution, honoring the journey of Hmong families who have shaped Minnesota’s communities, economy and cultural landscape over five decades.

In 2025, RiverCentre proudly hosted the annual Minnesota Hmong New Year celebration, welcoming more than 26,000 people over two days. Guests filled the building in vibrant, traditional attire and participated in culturally significant games, music and performances that celebrate Hmong history, identity and intergenerational bonds. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of space — not just to gather, but to belong.

We were also honored to host the Hmong American 50 Years of Progress gala, organized by the Hmong Committee of 100, which reflected on history while uplifting future generations. Additionally, RiverCentre has welcomed the Fresh Traditions Fashion Show, a culturally inspired event that showcases the creativity and craftsmanship of Hmong designers.

Our commitment to service and community partnership extended beyond the event floor. Morrissey Hospitality, our concessions partner, proudly served vegetables grown locally at Hmong-owned farms, reinforcing a shared dedication to cultural respect, sustainability and supporting local businesses.
