Minnesota Roller Derby
Minnesota Roller Derby
Event Info
Roller derby returns to Roy Wilkins Auditorium on Saturday, October 18, with a spooky take on a classic tale: A Terror of Two Cities! Featuring a cross-town rivalry, a showdown between ghouls and vamps, and a Halloween costume contest, this doubleheader is sure to kick off Season 22 with jukes, jumps, and jeers!
Minnesota Roller Derby (MNRD) will kick off its 22nd home season — a celebration of books and reading — with a doubleheader in Roy Wilkins Auditorium on October 18. In the first matchup, Ghouls will face off against Vampires, with your favorite skaters defending their undead creature of choice. Next, the MNRD Minnesota Nice will host the North Star Roller Derby Supernovas for a matchup of epic proportions.
Doors open at 5 p.m., and the first whistle blows at 6 p.m. Come early to watch a brief roller derby demonstration, grab concessions, and meet skaters before you find your seats. Come dressed to impress (or scare) for a special Halloween contest during halftime of the first game. Between games, make your way to the track for a dance party and shop the merchandise table for clothes and accessories representing your favorite team. After the bout, head to the official MNRD after-party at Camp Bar and Cabaret in Saint Paul to hang out with the skaters and celebrate the night.
