The Minnesota Hmong New Year is a cultural celebration that brings together families, youth, elders, artists, performers, community organizations, and businesses from across Minnesota and beyond to celebrate Hmong cultural arts, traditions, heritage, and community. Through music, dance, traditional arts, cultural performances, and intergenerational programming, the event creates a vibrant space where Hmong culture can be celebrated, shared, and passed on to future generations.
Hosted by the United Hmong Family, Inc., the Minnesota Hmong New Year is more than a celebration, it is an opportunity to preserve and showcase our cultural heritage, elevate Hmong artists and performers, strengthen connections across generations, and create meaningful experiences for the Hmong community and the broader public.
Taking place November 28–29, 2026, at Saint Paul RiverCentre, this two-day celebration will showcase the many traditions and talents that make the Hmong community unique. Guests can experience an exciting variety of cultural programming, including Hmong singing and dance competitions, traditional and contemporary performances, cultural arts, community engagement activities, food, merchandise, informational displays, and opportunities to connect with local organizations and businesses.
