Official Fan Festival of the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship
This December, the World Juniors takes over Saint Paul and Minneapolis — with Rice Park and Saint Paul RiverCentre transforming into the Bold North Breakaway Fan Festival.
Celebrate the spirit of Minnesota hockey with interactive games, live entertainment, photo ops, and free winter fun for fans of all ages.
From outdoor winter fun in Rice Park to indoor excitement at Saint Paul RiverCentre, Bold North Breakaway is where hockey meets the holidays, a hockey holiday with free fun all tournament long.
Saint Paul RiverCentre
Inside Saint Paul RiverCentre, the celebration continues with an immersive indoor hockey festival that keeps the excitement high throughout the World Juniors.
Fans can explore hands-on exhibits, shop 40 local vendors at the Hockey Moms Market by Mich, or meet former World Junior players during special alumni appearances and autograph sessions.
The SportsEngine Zone keeps the energy going with a live DJ next to the Minnesota Wild Street Hockey Rink, while the Explore Minnesota Watch Party Room showcases every World Juniors game on the big screen.
With the Delta Dental Locker Room Experience, PNC Bank Snow Globe, Blue Line Bar, and Mini Mites Kids Zone powered by Cub, RiverCentre is the indoor heartbeat of Bold North Breakaway — where fans of all ages can play, relax, and connect all tournament long.
Rice Park
In the heart of downtown Saint Paul, Rice Park transforms into a winter wonderland of hockey and holiday fun. Free and open to the public, this outdoor fan zone brings the World Juniors spirit to the streets with horse and carriage rides, Saint Paul Pioneer Press Trolley Rides & Tales, and festive lights surrounding the historic park.
Fans can lace up at the TRIA Skills Rink, cozy up with cocoa at the PNC Bank Bonfire Zone, and take a spin on the Securian Financial Bumper Cars on Ice. Capture the perfect photo at the Explore Minnesota “We Love Hockey” Sign, then warm up inside the HealthPartners Breakaway Box with snacks and interactive games.
From storytelling and skating to local food trucks and Family Fireworks on New Year’s Eve, Rice Park is where families, friends, and hockey fans come together to celebrate the game—and the magic of winter in Minnesota.
