Accessibility / ADA Services

Saint Paul RiverCentre is committed to accommodating the needs of individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). 

General Accessibility

A curbside drop-off for wheelchairs and sidewalk curb cut-outs are located at our main entrance on Kellogg Boulevard, as well as at our Rice Park entrance, located at the corner of Washington Street and 4th Street. Automatic doors are located at the entrances to Saint Paul RiverCentre along Kellogg Boulevard, as well as at the Rice Park Entrance, located at Washington Street and 4th Street. Inside Saint Paul RiverCentre, meeting rooms, exhibit halls and public areas are all served by conveniently located elevators. Restrooms and drinking fountains throughout the building are wheelchair accessible. Roy Wilkins Auditorium’s main floor is ADA accessible. ADA approved seating on the floor will be made available for guests and a companion at all events as needed.

Parking

Saint Paul RiverCentre Parking Ramp (150 W. Kellogg Boulevard, Saint Paul, MN 55102)

There are 48 designated public parking spaces for vehicles displaying disability parking placards/permits or license tags in the RiverCentre Parking Ramp. Ten of these spaces are van accessible. Once parked, guests should take the elevators on the west side of the parking ramp to the skyway level for direct access to Saint Paul RiverCentre and Roy Wilkins Auditorium.

Kellogg Parking Ramp (129 W. Kellogg Boulevard, Saint Paul, MN 55102)

There are 13 designated public parking spaces for vehicles displaying disability parking placards/permits or license tags in the Kellogg Parking Ramp. Six of these spaces are van accessible. Once parked, guests should take the elevator to the lobby level (level 2), which will bring guests directly into Saint Paul RiverCentre and Roy Wilkins Auditorium.

Elevators

Passenger elevators located throughout Saint Paul RiverCentre provide access to all public areas of the building. Elevators are alarm-equipped with two-way communications to the Saint Paul RiverCentre security department and/or the elevator company. There are tactile braille call buttons inside and outside the cars. These elevators are also equipped with chimes that indicate the direction the elevator is traveling.

Hearing Impaired Services

Hearing Impaired Devices are available in Saint Paul RiverCentre and Roy Wilkins Auditorium.  To obtain a device, guests should either contact the venue in advance at 651-265-4800 or request one from a venue employee on site.  

To request an ASL interpreter, contact the Xcel Energy Center Box Office at 651-726-8240 a minimum of ten (10) business days prior to the date of the event you are attending. An ASL interpreter will not be provided unless specifically requested.

Restrooms & Drinking Fountains

All of Saint Paul RiverCentre’s restrooms are accessible to persons with disabilities and contain stalls, sinks, and mirrors that are wheelchair accessible.

Drinking fountains are accessible to persons with disabilities.

Box Office

The Saint Paul RiverCentre, Roy Wilkins Auditorium and Xcel Energy Center box offices are all accessible to persons with disabilities.

Accessible Seating

Accessible seating and parking are available through Ticketmaster and the Xcel Energy Center Box Office. If you have any questions regarding accessible seating or specifications of a particular location, please contact the Xcel Energy Center Box Office at 651-726-8240.

Guests can buy tickets for accessible seats two ways:

  • Click the Request Accessible Tickets button on your event on Ticketmaster.com
  • Call 800-877-7575. NOTE: This line is only for accessible seats.

Headwaters Cafe

Headwaters Café, located in Kellogg Lobby, is equipped with lower tables and removable chairs for persons with disabilities.

Service Animals

Trained service animals are permitted in Saint Paul RiverCentre with proper supervision.

Sight Impaired Information

Tactile braille signage is at the entrances to restrooms, and inside and outside all passenger elevators.

Wheelchair Lifts & Wheelchair Lecterns

If you will be presenting or speaking at an education session while at Saint Paul RiverCentre or Roy Wilkins Auditorium, we have portable wheelchair lifts to assist you onto stages. We also are able to provide wheelchair lecterns for speakers. Please contact the organization managing the event you are attending ahead of time to ensure your needs will be taken care of, as this equipment must be installed prior to your arrival.
