Minnesota RollerGirls Bout 2: Feel the Win in your Hair | Coming to Roy Wilkins Auditorium on Nov.17
SAINT PAUL, MINN. - The Minnesota RollerGirls (MNRG) will begin the battle for the Golden Skate on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 7:00 p.m .in the Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium. In this double header event, the Rockits take on the Atomic Bombshells while the Dagger Dolls go to battle with the Garda Belts. Give thanks by contributing to this month's charities, Team RWB, the Wildlife Rehab Center, and longtime partner, the Ann Bancroft Foundation!
In honor of MNRG's 15th anniversary, a new award will be rolled out this season, titled "The Season 15 Crystal Skater". This award will be presented to a roller derby athlete whose hard work on and off the track is representative of the MNRG commitment to the sport and community.
This year's season-long charitable beneficiary is the Ann Bancroft Foundation's Let Me Play Grant, which funds athletic and dance equipment or participation fees for girls ages 5 through high school graduation. The November door charity is Team RWB and the bout charity is the Wildlife Rehab Center. Team RWB works to enrich the lives of America's veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity. Please bring canned food, winter gloves, mittens, and hats to support Team RWB. The Wildlife Rehab Center provides quality medical care and rehabilitation for injured and orphaned wildlife. Please bring pillowcases and large bath/beach towels without holes or fringed edges, canned air, 3-4" wide masking tape or gift cards to Fleet Farm or Joe's Sporting Goods to support the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota!
Doors open at 6:00 pm. The first 200 fans to arrive will receive a limited edition t-shirt. Get there early for a pre-show bout featuring Legacy Gymnastics: a fun tumbling display featuring local gymnasts. Half-time live performances will feature Tubby Esquire. After the bout, join the Minnesota RollerGirls for the official after party at Camp Bar in St. Paul.
