Minnesota Roller Derby
Minnesota Roller Derby
Minnesota Roller Derby (MNRD) will begin the battle for the Golden Skate on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. in The Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium. First, the Atomic Bombshells will take on the Dagger Dolls, followed by the Garda Belts battling the Rockits.
Doors open at 6 p.m. The first 200 fans to arrive will receive a limited-edition t-shirt. Come early to watch a pre-show bout featuring MNRD's very own Minnesota Frostbite. The Minnesota Frostbite is a competitive roller derby team for skaters under the age of 18. Don't miss their sweet skating skills and athleticism!
Head down to the track at halftime for a live performance by She Rock She Rock, a non-profit dedicated to empowering girls, women, trans and non-binary folk through music. After the bout, join Minnesota Roller Derby for the official after party at Stacked Deck Brewing Company in Saint Paul.
All season long, the MNRD bout charities are the Ann Bancroft Foundation's Let Me Play Grant Program, which funds athletic and dance equipment or participation fees for girls ages 5 through high school graduation, and JustUs Health. JustUs Health fights to end HIV and reach health equity for LBGTQ and HIV-positive communities.

In addition to their bout charities, MNRD collect items at the door to support a door charity. Proceeds from their Tattoo and Team Spirit Booth are also donated to this worthy cause. This month, their door charity benefits Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV). MACV exists to directly help veterans and their families affected by homelessness or those in danger of becoming homeless.
They'll be collecting items for MACV at the door. Bring items for the move-in kits such as laundry soap, spatulas and kitchen utensils, toothpaste and toothbrushes, shampoo and conditioner, blankets, paper towels, pot holders, bath towels, laundry baskets and bed sheets for a $2 ticket discount and to support MACV. To see a complete list of donation items, visit the event page.
To provide a safer environment and significantly expedite guest entry, Roy Wilkins Auditorium encourages you to not bring a bag to the event or to limit the size of the bag that you bring. Should you choose to bring a bag, we encourage using a clear tote (plastic, vinyl or PVC) that does not exceed 12" x 6" x 12" or a maximum one gallon size plastic storage bag. Small bags or clutch purses no larger than 5" x 8" are permitted. Oversized bags and backpacks are prohibited.
