American Craft Show
American Craft Show
The American Craft Show returns to Saint Paul RiverCentre on April 5-7, 2019, to showcase the work of more than 240 of the country’s most talented contemporary artists presenting their latest handmade creations. The show runs for three days, with a special $5 ticket price Friday evening after 5 p.m.
According to American Craft Council Marketing Director Pamela Diamond, this year’s show will focus on spring and summer fashion tips, as well as what is trending in the craft categories featured at the show, including jewelry, clothing, furniture, and home décor. Additionally, some of the Twin Cities top creative minds have been invited to participate in Let’s Make this year. They’ll share their perspectives as trend setters in the industries of fashion, artisan food and drink, and other emerging arenas.
Let’s Make is an initiative that connects craftsmanship to craft by honing in on the process of making and what it takes to produce the beautiful work at the show. During the show, local artists and organizations that work with materials such as clay, fiber, glass, wood and metal will provide interactive demonstrations for show-goers to participate in the creative process.
A few years ago, ACC developed the Hip Pop program to support emerging artists and create a pathway for full participation in the AC show. The program has been wildly popular with show goers, who are attracted to the innovative work of the Hip Pop artists, who are selected through a jury process and grouped into shared booths. This community-based structure provides a supportive atmosphere for the best and brightest emerging artists to interact with each other, seasoned artists, and show goers – while selling their work.
With a variety of specialty categories, the 2019 American Craft Show in St. Paul offers something for everyone. Shoppers will experience the work of hundreds of the country’s most talented artists under one roof, while exploring the process each artist uses to create his or her work. Don’t miss this opportunity to shop one-of-a-kind, fine crafts and engage with the country’s top artists.
